A McGriddle for dinner?

The war over your breakfast dollars continues to heat after McDonald’s announced plans to test an all-day breakfast menu at some select locations in San Diego, Calif., starting in April.

Before you get too excited, they will only be serving a partial menu, so some of your favorites might not make the cut!

McDonald’s did reassure us that hash browns have definitely found a spot on the all-day menu.

“We look forward to learning from this test, and it’s premature to speculate on any outcomes,” wrote spokeswoman Terri Hickey in an email to NBC News. “We’re excited to serve our customers in this area some of McDonald’s great-tasting breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and other favorites all day long.”

The world’s largest restaurant chain had even tweeted about the logistics of serving breakfast and lunch at the same time in February, saying it doesn’t serve breakfast all day because its grills “just aren’t big enough for breakfast and lunch.”

And no you’re not, you’re just special!
